Avoid at all costs!! I have never come across such an incompetent and unforgiving organisation. After designing a ring for my fiancé, she was ...left heartbroken after Austen & Blake continued to provide a faulty product. This included: 1. Delivering Two Faulty Rings Where the Stones Fell Out in Under a Month; 2. Providing Different Stones than Requested and Paid For; 3. Supplying the Wrong Size Ring Despite Accurate Measurements Provided. They were very deceptive in trying to provide lesser quality stones and unable to perform basic professional responsibilities. The total lack of quality control and care in their products is astounding. This really ruined our engagement, and almost a year after initially designing the ring, I’m still in the process of trying to get a suitable ring on my fiancés finger.

If you’re looking for only silver solitaire - this will be fine as that’s what they have in shop. If you’re looking for anything els...e, it’s not worth making a trip. They don’t have gold, they also don’t have the more elaborate designs (again, only solitaire). Upon their confirmation email, they requested more information about what I was looking for to prepare for the appointment. I specifically wrote I was interested in gold and halo. They did not - despite the response to this comment - email me prior to the appointment to inform me of their limited stock. They did email me the day after I left this review to retroactively tell me that they did not have anything in stock. Cheeky. The rings I was showed were in pretty rough conditions as well. Tbf, I had considered Tiffany’s beforehand which has entirely different customer service. I was in and out of here in five minutes and told to simply “look online.” I feel bad for all the people making a real effort to see this showroom. Luckily I only live 10 min away. Honestly, don’t go for one of these factories. Support the lovely independent small shops in Hatton Garden such as Eric Ross if you’ve made the mistake of coming here.

Jessica, our consultant, was really great. Went into the store to try find an engagement ring to a similar design i had found elsewhere and they offer...ed me similar styles which were great. The customer service is really great and the diamonds come out looking stunning. The platinum band on the ring is very neatly done.

Overall - disappointing unfortunately. When looking for an engagement ring the initial experience was very positive. The staff are extremely friendly ...and took the time to run through the various options. They generally get the ring made once you order it but provide a temporary replica ring which is useful. The wait time for the actual ring was just over 4 weeks in our case and we were advised of this so all good on that front. The day that we collected the ring my partner mentioned that the platinum band was much thicker (chunkier) than the one on the temporary replica ring. Now to be fair the diamond on the temporary replica was smaller. The lady said that we should give it a few days for my partner to get used to it. She also said the ring had to be thicker to counterweight the bigger stone and to retain the rings structural integrity. So we took the advice and waited a couple of weeks. My partner did a lot of research and still wasn’t happy or convinced the band needed to be that thick. To test the counterweight / structural integrity theory, we decided to visit five other jewellers in Hatton Garden to get their opinion. They measured the band to be 2.5 - 2.7mm. All five said that we could reduce it to 2 - 2.2mm safely. The price to do this was quoted between £150 - £200. We went back to A&B to explain that we weren’t satisfied with the thickness and they said that they could not make the band thinner. Now given all other five jewellers we asked in the area said they could make it thinner safely and the fact we had spent the best part of £16k with A&B, this was extremely disappointing. Be warned that the aftercare is not at the same level as that initial sales service. Retrospectively reading other reviews in detail you can see that there is basically no scope to change anything with A&B. One thing we have learned through this process is that some of the jewellers appear to be more of a retailer and this seems to be the case with A&B. They just order stuff on the computer and you collect. When you talk with other jewellers in Hatton Garden they have workshops that can make amendments such as reducing band width and their turnaround is much quicker. No hard feelings, just wanted to provide an honest review of our experience. It’s a hugely important purchase and one of the most expensive people will make in their life. It now appears we are going to go somewhere else to end up with the ring that we wanted.

From my initial online inquiry and phone call to book an i...n-store appointment, to selecting the ring design, everything was handled with great professionalism, putting me at ease. Haifa Zangana assisted me in choosing the ring design. She was incredible, knowledgeable, and very helpful—an absolute joy to work with. When my partner and I returned this week to discuss resizing the ring, we arrived 15 minutes early, and although Haifa was not available, her colleague stepped in without hesitation. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name, but she was also great. They offer a vast selection of designs, which can be overwhelming, but Haifa guided me through the options, and we made the perfect choice. My now fiancé is so happy with the ring! Overall, I was extremely satisfied from start to finish and would highly recommend Austen & Blake to anyone looking to propose to their significant other.

Fantastic service, flexible seeing me between meetings and the ring is perfect, would definitely recommend. Haifa was incredibly helpful and responded... to every question I had, helping finding me the perfect diamond and ring.

Our initial experience in store and sample ring was good. However we wanted to make a simple change as that’s what a sample is for right? When t...he ring arrived to store which we designed it was totally wrong and not even close on the shape and sizing. This was quite rudely dealt with by the store manager Charlotte with not one apology, it was like we was the inconvenience? All she kept saying was it was the same product code? How can a ring that’s totally different to a sample be the same product code?! To cut the long story short we requested a full refund as this store really spoilt something that was suppose to be a special engagement ring. They will also lure you in stating a two week lead time but then say it’s four weeks. Absolute disaster, they completely took away the excitement from the engagement. Do yourselves a favour and use the other jewellers in the area for a more professional bespoke service who actually understands diamonds and who are also willing to look after their customers. After our experience with another jeweller in the area we cannot even call Austen&Blake London a jeweller - it's just a store with sales people. Anyone can go on the website and pick the ring, that's basically what they do there. Avoid.

I couldn't have found someone more helpful in this industry than Haifa. I had a situation where I had purchased a ring from another jewelers and it di...dn't get delivered when it was supposed to. After speaking to the jewelers, there had been an error on the system and it was out-of-stock. This was on the Thursday and I was flying to Rome on the Saturday where I wanted to propose, so I had little time to try and sort something out. I turned up to Austen & Blake half an hour before they closed, understandably stressed, but Haifa was so professional with helping me select something that my girlfriend would like. The ring size I had measured was a size which Haifa suggested was far too big, and we went for one that was 3 sizes smaller. This shows how good she is at her job as it was actually perfect! Coming in so late, Haifa was more than happy find a solution past her working hours, so a massive credit to her. Everything went really well with the engagement and a massive part of that is Haifa, so I would thoroughly recommend anyone to go and see her if they're looking for a ring.

4 months ago I walked into Austen and Blake's London office with the intention of purchasing an engagement ring for my long term girlfriend, but absol...utely zero knowledge of the process involved, or what I could get for my budget. I met Charlotte in the office, and from the moment I walked in she was phenomenal. Thanks to my lack of knowledge on engagement rings, I was incredibly nervous, but Charlotte couldn't have made the process any easier. Charlotte first explained what the process for buying an engagement ring would look like, asked for my budget, and then explained what I would be able to buy for the budget and the diamond qualities that I would be able to adjust, such as size, cut quality and colour. Charlotte showed me a great number of diamonds, demonstrating how varying each of the qualities such as colour would look on the diamond. Within the first session I was already able to prioritise diamond qualities, and not once did Charlotte ever try to get me to raise my budget or to sell me a diamond I couldn't afford. We spent 3 sessions looking at diamonds and in the end settled on a ring that I was incredibly happy with, that fit perfectly within my budget and was beyond my wildest dreams. The diamond we ended up choosing was absolutely perfect, my now fiancee was beyond happy with the ring. I went from being very nervous and completely in the dark to a diamond expert in just 3 hours and I owe it all to Charlotte and the team at Austen and Blake. I couldn't have asked for a better service, everything was perfect. If you are reading this and you are like me, clueless and apprehensive about the process to come, please book an appointment with Austen and Blake and they will guide you seamlessly through buying an engagement ring. I was going overseas for a month to propose and Charlotte even extended the period to adjust the ring size so that I would have time to bring the ring in for adjustments when I was back. Thankfully though, I was able to talk to a staff member for about 30m before her appointment turned up. I left my number and asked them to call so I could purchase a ring. It’s the end of the month now and still no phone call.

I bought an engagement ring from here a few weeks ago and couldn’t recommend the place enough. It’s difficult knowing where to go when the...re are so many options but I’m glad I picked Austen & Blake. Charlotte was absolutely lovely and made the (slightly overwhelming) process really easy. Jurgen was extremely he...lpful but not pushy (like the other jewellers on the road) and made it very personal to us. The choice is fantastic but also cheaper, yet the same quality as other jewellers in the area. This is my second Austen & Blake purchased having visited them at their Manchester store. Their London flagship not only matched my experience but... exceeded my very high expectations. Unlike most Hatton Garden stores, they are not trying to sell to you but are there to create something at the best possible price. They sourced a specific stone for me and had it ready in 2 weeks, yes a custom ring in 2 weeks. Don't bother wasting your time buying from the same stock pieces elsewhere, Austen & Blake is the jeweller of the future.

Visited a few days ago with my sister to get a necklace for our mums birthday. The staff were so helpful and patient (we were very indecisive) so many... beautiful items and so reasonably priced. I could have bought the whole shop. We will be back!
